Desktop Management
Desktop management begins with 24/7 remote monitoring of your desktop workstation. Our remote monitoring system monitors hard drive free space and drive health, anti-virus status, hacker activity, and the status of all services running on the workstation. All of these are scanned hourly and notifications are issued when any of these monitored parameters fall outside of the normal range. Based on these reported conditions any emergent issues are promptly investigated and corrective action is taken.
Updates of the operating system and application software are installed monthly as another preventative action that helps to avoid unexpected and disruptive problems.
Annually a major cleanup of each workstation is performed to improve performance. A clean reinstall of the Operating system and application software may be performed if needed. An assessment of the suitability of each workstation for the tasks being performed is made at this time based on the age of the workstation hardware and the hardware and software installed. A recommendation for maintenance, update, upgrade, or replacement is made.
Help desk support is provided to each user via telephone, email, remote access, or on-site presence as needed to resolve operational or performance issues.
